Elastomer powders for industrial 3D printing

TER Chemicals offers high performance ready-to-use elastomer (rubber-like) powders for industrial 3D printing. The materials have been developed for common powder bed fusion additive manufacturing processes, such as selective laser sintering (SLS) and high-speed sintering (HSS). Read on and find out more!

Our INFINAM TPA and TPC powders from Evonik

What are INFINAM TPA and TPC powders?

INFINAM TPA 4006 P is a thermoplastic amide (TPA) that consists of polyamide 12 segments and softening segments. The material is characterized by rubber-like properties and an outstanding impact strength. The powders enable an excellent surface resolution and feature detail of the printed component in combination with an outstanding durability over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 90°C.

Thermoplastic Copolyesters (TPC) are a combination of polyester and polyether blocks. INFINAM TPC 8008 P exhibits excellent flexibility, durability and resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and UV radiation, which makes the material ideal for outdoor applications. The elastomer powders are easy to process and can be printed at relatively low temperatures, reducing the risk of warping. Another advantage is that the printed components are easy to depowder.

In which applications can INFINAM elastomeric materials be used?

INFINAM is particularly suitable for manufacturing prototypes, manufacturing of individual units as well as serial parts. INFINAM grades are excellently suited for applications that call for high extensibility and energy return, such as sports equipment, automobile components as well as gaskets and seals.
