Expansion of our portfolio of complexing agents
About TERquest GLDA
Alongside products based on phosphonate, our TERquest portfolio also features the complexing agents TERquest GLDA (tetrasodium N,N-bis(carboxylatomethyl)-L-glutamate) and TERquest MGDA 40% (methylglycine diacetic acid trisodium salt).
These are also antiscalant products. The products are able to complex metal ions and keep them in solution to prevent deposits on things like water-bearing elements. Areas of application are therefore water treatment plants, cooling circuits, boiler water treatment, etc. The liquid dosage form of the products allows easy and accurate dosing in your process and saves you having to dissolve the products.
We offer TERquest GLDA in two concentration levels, with active content of 38% and 47%. In your process, use of the products TERquest GLDA and TERquest MGDA 40% offers you the following advantages:
- Produced from bio-based materials
- Good complexing properties
These properties can also ensure a lower carbon footprint and better categorization in your products.
In addition to the liquid products, we can now also offer you MGDA in granular form with a concentration of 80% to ensure that you can mix the concentration required for your individual application yourself.
PTSA as an aid to leak detection in water-bearing systems
The product known as PTSA (1,3,6,8-pyrenetetrasulfonic acid tetrasodium salt, CAS: 59572-10-0) is a water-soluble, anionic fluorescent dye that, when combined with appropriate instrumentation, can be used to easily reveal leaks in water-bearing systems. Using PTSA can also help you to monitor the composition of the water in your system in real time and thus to prevent deposits.
PTSA is also used in processes for problem-free material testing. PTSA lends itself well to these applications because it is highly water-soluble, detectable as low as ppb, chemically stable, and gives off clear spectra when applied.
We offer the product in powder form so that it can be used easily in your system in specific doses.
Tonsil Optimum 218 FF – bleaching earth for bio-oils
In addition to acid-activated bleaching earths from the Tonsil range, manufactured by Clariant, we have now expanded our portfolio to include Tonsil Optimum 218 FF. This Tonsil grade is characterized by excellent ion exchange capacity and can thus be used to refine a wide range of oils. The product is an activated bleaching earth based on the mineral calcium bentonite.
The special thing about this grade is that the bleaching earth is not activated by acid nor by other chemicals. This particular form of activation means that Tonsil Optimum 218 FF can also be used to purify bio-oils and RBD oils. When used in oil, Tonsil can help to remove unwanted odors, tastes, and other impurities from the medium.
In addition to this grade, we also supply Tonsil grades which, as well as offering good performance in the field of oil treatment, are also a good addition in the areas of industrial water treatment and washing liquors.
All other grades of the Tonsil product range are also available.
